We accept any item that pertains to personal family history and which was, at one time, in the personal possession of a member of that family. Original items from a family's past that contain enough identifiable information will be accepted. It is expected that items will be at least fifty years old (pre-1950). If you are willing to share a document by way of a copy, we will accept submissions that offer the copies at cost plus postage and handling.

We no longer accept individual listings from yearbooks. It you have an old yearbook, you can list it under the name of the person who actually owned it, but please do not submit each individual photo as an "item".

Describing the item

Condition is important! If the item is torn, taped, stained, faded, or in anyway altered please state that in your description.

Try to be as exact as possible about the date of the item. The content description should contain as much information as possible. If it is a letter or post card give a brief description of the content.

Your Past Connections will list your item for at least six months. If the item becomes no longer available, please notify Your Past Connections immediately.

Price

The price you ask is your responsibility. Most items are listed at a nominal price. However, we recognize that some rare books and documents have significant intrinsic value. When in doubt of the value of an item, please have it appraised by a professional.
